Oasis Musicale is a concert series which gives emerging and local artists the opportunity to perform concerts in a beautiful venue in downtown Montreal. Established in 2013 at Christ Church Cathedral, Oasis Musicale presents a concert in the cathedral every Saturday at 2:00pm featuring talented young musicians who perform mainly classical music, but occasionally also world music, and even some jazz or folk! 

 

Oasis Musicale aims to enhance the profile of Christ Church Cathedral as a cultural as well as spiritual center in the heart of Montreal, to foster partnerships with the artistic community, especially local young emerging artists, and to build relationships in the local community. Over the years we have witnessed growing relationships, and even some friendships, between our audience – some keen music-lovers, people wanting to discover new musical styles, even visitors and tourists, - and the Oasis Musicale musicians.

Oasis Musicale concerts are open to all, no tickets are required and there is no entry charge. To support the series and our musicians, we encourage freewill donations from the audience. Thanks to the generosity of the public, we are able to continue to encourage these young emerging and local musicians who are directly contributing to Montreal’s world-renowned artistic reputation.
